The steps required to safely remove a machine from your factory.
How to remove my machine
1. Remove all fluids and dispose of correctly according to your local regulations. This may include water, oil, paints, or inks.
2. If disposing the machine, remove all items of value that could be sold separately. This could be, cameras, electrical motors, sensing equipment, even precious metal, etc.
3. Disconnect all supplies: the main ones being electricity, gas, water, and air. There could be others like paint and ink lines. Also look for dual supplies, as there could be more than one. For example, a power and a control electrical supply.
4. Carefully release any stored energy, i.e. battery/capacitor, air pressure, hydraulic pressure, water pressure, spring energy. Be careful these a sometimes hard to find and can be dangerous.
4. Dismantle the machine into sections where it can be easily separable for ease of handling.
5. See other engineering solutions for ideas on relocating your machine locally or internationally, or if disposing of your machine for scrap.
6. Enjoy the new space you have in your facility.
